We as a Golf Society aim to provide you the golfer with great golf at prices you can afford. We will do this by passing on all discounts received from golf courses and tour operators directly to you!

Sandgrown’uns Golf Society Rules:

Membership of the Society:
Membership fee of 35 Euros includes Sandgrown’uns Golf Society T-shirt,
and entitlement to all discounts received by the society.

Please note that those who are not full members of the society are not eligible to win any of the Sandgrown’uns Society Prizes.

Competitions:
A competition fixture list and format of the competitions will be posted on this web site and in the Sports Bar ‘Someplace Else’ together with start times. All players should note that at various times ‘Shotgun’ starts may be employed to aid the speed of play at peek times. Entry fees will be €5.00.

Prizes:
Prize competitions will be arranged for all members together with subsidiary competitions for non society members (numbers permitting) at all golfing venues. Prizes will be in the format of gift vouchers which can be redeemed behind the bar for thirst quenching drinks.

Green Fees:
Payment of all green fees by non members must be made in advance to the Society Secretary when making your bookings.

Arrival Times:
All players must be at the golf course a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the allotted tee tome. Players who arrive late may have their reservations rescinded, and we as the operators retain the right to renounce all claims to any form of reimbursement.

Cancellations:
Notice of cancellation of any booking must be made to the Society Secretary 72 hour in advance of the allotted tee time, failure to do so could result in the forfeiture of your green fees.

Dress Code:
All players must respect the dress code as laid down by the golf clubs.
LADIES – May NOT wear jeans, swimwear, halter or strapless tops.
GENTLEMEN – May NOT wear jeans, swimwear or tracksuits.

General Rules:

  1. All children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  2. The society reserves the right to make up groups of four balls when it is considered necessary to speed up play.
  3. Metal spikes are NOT permitted on any golf course.
  4. A recognised official handicap certificate must be carried at all times, and produced when requested by club officials.
  5. Course Marshalls are the representatives of the golf club management and their instructions must be respected at all times.
  6. The golf club management reserve the right to close the course if deemed necessary due to inclement weather.
  7. All local club rules which may be in force at the time of play must be adhered to at all times.
  8. Non compliance of any of the above mentioned rules may result in the termination of your round and cancellation of all future bookings.
